Which system do I have? The right upgrade.
Each upgrade only fits one specific drive. With these hints from the product descriptions you will quickly find the right one. If in doubt, the shop checks your model for free before you buy.
Bosch: Smart System or generation 1–4?
If you use the eBike Flow app, you have a Bosch Smart System (BES3) and need the Smart System upgrade. Compatible controls: Kiox 300, Kiox 400C, Kiox 500, Purion 200, Intuvia 100, System Controller, LED and Mini Remote.
Older Bosch systems of generation 1–4 with displays such as Intuvia, Kiox, Nyon or Purion: Gen 1–4 upgrade. The Gen 1–4 code does not work with the Smart System.
Shimano: does your bike have Bluetooth?
All that matters is Bluetooth. If your bike pairs with the Shimano E-TUBE app, it has Bluetooth and the Shimano upgrade fits (e.g. EP6, EP8, EP801, E8000, E7000, E6100, EP5). Without Bluetooth: retrofit the EW-EN100 adapter.
Yamaha: check the model year
The Yamaha upgrade is for Yamaha drives from model year 2016. According to the shop, older Yamaha systems do not need a license code; please write to the shop in that case.
Panasonic: from model year 2013
The Panasonic upgrade fits Panasonic drives from model year 2013. What matters is the motor, not the bike brand.
